This is a very thorough massage, addressing tension found throughout the body.  A balanced blend of advanced techniques. Deep tissue massage is a strong component, but it is just as relaxing as it is therapeutic. I do NOT recommend this massage if Deep Tissue Massage is uncomfortable for you, or if you have health conditions which may contraindicate this type of treatment.

*Please note that 60 minutes may NOT be enough time for a thorough full body massage. When that is the case, the focus will be on the upper or lower body, or recommendations will be made to schedule 75 minutes or more.

This massage is great for those who want to relax. This modality is integrated into all sessions, but here it is the only application.

While many people believe that Swedish Massage is ineffective, it actually is the base of any good massage. It provides the health benefits of relaxation, circulation, removal of toxins, benefits to the immune system by increasing Killer T-Cells, and is used to prepare the tissues for deep tissue work. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include gentle relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, and enhanced mental clarity.

Available upgrades for this massage-schedule in advance:

Integrated Reflexology

Full/Separate Session: One Price- 60 minutes $65.

If combined with Regular Massage-Add 1 extra (separate) session per calendar month: 60 minutes $45.

Reflexology is is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet, similar to acupuncture and other Asian body work modalities, like Auricular therapy (zones/meridians in the ear). Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression. My approach focuses on releasing tight fascia, tendons, and muscles so that you can have " Happy Feet". This an Integrated approach to Reflexology.

Description of the modalities used in my Signature Massage:

Deep Tissue Massage: Similar to Swedish Massage, but deeper pressure is used to release chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle, tendons, and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones, and joints).

Trigger Point Therapy: Pain doesn't always come from the area where it is felt. A trigger point is a tight area within muscle tissue that triggers pain in other parts of the body. In releasing the constricted areas, there is often relief from pain.

Myofascial Release/Structural Integration: Myofascial Release treats skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles. This can involve gentle or deep sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions, restoring motion. Includes the concept of Trigger Point Therapy, and stretching can be used as well.

Lymphatic Drainage: This uses very light pressure and long, gentle, rhythmic strokes to increase the flow of lymph and reduce toxins in the body. The lymph system is part of the immune system and it helps the body fight infection.

Reiki: is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is energy work that does not involve massaging the body, but the method I use places the hands on the body (chakra zones) for an extended time period. The energy is felt by my hands getting very warm to hot! Rei-ki means Universal Life and Energy. It is the energy that flows through all living things.
